Autumn is right around the corner, and that means cooler weather (finally) and warmer clothing. This week, I will be starting my very own transition from Summer to Autumn Fashions. To start the transition off right, I decided to create an outfit inspired by’ Marvel’s Agents Of Shield ‘s’ Daisy ‘Skye’ Johnson portrayed by the fabulous Chloe Bennett. Enough of my lollygagging and let’s get started breaking down this outfit, shall we?
Note: I collected some items of this outfit by using the Polyvore clipper extension. So for some reason, Polyvore won’t show the price and the designer of the item. I will be linking to them and telling you the price.
This leather military jacket is a gem that I found on Bonanza.com. It is a little expensive at $159 dollars, but I just knew that Daisy Johnson would look fantastic in it. In the later seasons, of ‘Marvel’s Agents Of Shield’ Daisy started dressing in a more militaristic style and the character has always had a fondness for leather. So I thought I would mix the two with this fantastic jacket.
I just love the detailed buttons and lacings on the front of the jacket. It really reminds a bit of the jacket soldiers wore during the Revolutionary War by the British soldiers. This jacket really just gives this outfit an overall badass feeling which fits Daisy to a tee.
I love a good distressed look. These light wash skinny jeans remind me of Daisy’s punk/rock style she used to rock back in the day before she became a badass Agent of Shield. They add a little bit of rebellion to this outfit and look really comfortable. However, these jeans are not at all light on the pocketbook (I couldn’t resist) but you can find a cheaper alternative here by ModCloth.
In my opinion, the best part of Autumn fashion is the boots. I have always been and always will be a boot fanatic. I just can’t help myself, okay? Anyway, I decided to pair up the previous jeans with these booties from Famous Footwear. Can you believe these booties are only $30? What a steal, if I didn’t have such big feet I might get a pair myself. So, the reason I pick these boots is the open toe, which is cooling in when ‘is hot but won’t completely freeze your feet off in cooler temperatures. The leather is a continued accent that I decided to keep throughout the entire outfit.
